Delete your MyBodyLab+ account or data

MyBodyLab+ is operated by MyBodyLab Technologies Pty Ltd. You can request deletion of your app account and associated data without reinstalling the app.

Request deletion by email

Email hello@mybodylab.ai with the subject MyBodyLab+ account deletion.

  • Identify your account: Send the request from the email address registered to your account where possible. If you no longer have access to that address, tell us the account email so we can help verify ownership.
  • Tell us what you want: Say that you want your MyBodyLab+ account and associated app data deleted.
  • Keep sensitive information private: Do not send your password, identity documents or health reports in your initial email. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.

We will confirm the outcome and explain any information that must be retained. Sending a request is not itself confirmation that deletion has finished.

Delete from the app or web dashboard

  • Android: Open your profile, choose Delete account, type DELETE and confirm.
  • Web dashboard: Sign in, open Profile, choose Close account, type CLOSE and confirm.

Deletion is permanent. If the app reports that the request could not be completed, contact us rather than assuming everything has been deleted.

What account deletion removes

Once account closure is successfully completed, your sign-in and app profile are removed, along with associated goals, AI Assistant chat history, progress photos and profile picture. You will no longer be able to sign in to that account.

Account closure is different from turning off data sharing. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant access but does not itself delete your account or retained records.

What may be retained, and for how long

Clinical records: Relevant test records, original clinical reports and the identity information needed to associate them with the correct person may remain in a restricted clinical archive after your app account is deleted. These are not an active app account.

For records subject to NSW private health-service retention rules, the minimum is seven years after the last health service for adult records, or until age 25 for records collected while the person was under 18. MyBodyLab's current archive applies the later of the relevant dates where both apply. Other applicable legal requirements or a legal hold may require longer retention. Records with uncertain dates or ages require review rather than automatic destruction. See the NSW Information and Privacy Commission's retention guidance.

Retained clinical records are subject to controlled review and deletion after the applicable period, not an automatic promise of erasure on the anniversary.

Deletion and compliance records: A limited register recording the person, deletion date, data category and destruction method is kept separately for compliance. This record can remain after clinical records are destroyed; the current process does not automatically erase it at the clinical retention deadline.

Independent clinic records and exported copies: Your clinic may separately retain its own records. Contact that clinic about those records. Copies previously downloaded, exported or shared outside MyBodyLab cannot be recalled through app-account deletion.

We can explain the retention basis and applicable period for your records when handling your request.

Delete selected app data without closing your account

You can delete individual progress photos and goals using their Delete controls while keeping your account. Alternatively, email hello@mybodylab.ai with the subject MyBodyLab+ data deletion, identify your account and specify the app data you want deleted without closing the account.

Removing a clinical report from your dashboard is not the same as permanently deleting the underlying clinical record.
